The 2018 Pedregal Petite Sirah is a dark and inky monster. It has a big bouquet of ripe blue berries. This is a mouthful of dark fruit. Bold blackberry, boysenberry, blue berries and spice Firm tannins with a long finish with hints of cocoa and smoke.
A full-bodied wine such as this should be paired up with richer more fatty foods for a nice balance. Pair it with a food that is as big and bold as it is, roasted pork, steaks, burgers or even chicken in Mole sauce. Try cheeses such as fresh Mozzarella, Camembert, melted Swiss or aged Gouda.
